| The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA") of 1996 requires doctors, pharmacies, health insurance companies and other "covered entities" to enter into contracts with their "business associates" to ensure that those organizations comply with the requirements of HIPAA regarding the use and safekeeping of certain protected health information ("PHI"). | |

IMSS
Corp. reviewed RADS´ current operating procedures for imaging and
reading. IMSS found that through Computed Radiography (CR), RADS would
be able to digitally produce their medical images. With digital imaging
in place of regular film, RADS would be able to transmit their medical
images to a centralized reading facility. With a single reading facility,
RADS would be able to track their images and reports more efficiently |
